Jeep Repair: Hydrolock vs Starter/Ignition Problem, jeep grand cherokee, hemi engines

Question
QUESTION: 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Hemi. Will not turn over/start.  Turned key made one click. Head Lights do not dim and Dash lights (idiot lights)/radio remain on when the key is turned to start. Battery checked at Autozone as OK. Dealer says it is Hydrolocked not a starter/ignition problem. I thought that the head lights would dim, dash lights go out, and radio off while current is sent to the starter when the key is turned. Showed engine was locked by trying to turn the enginine using a midium socket wrench (plugs still in the engine).

ANSWER: so what question are u asking me   would u like for me to confirm that its locked up  or tell u how to figure it out on your own?
one other question  does the fey fobs work to unlock and lock the doors?

QUESTION: The key buttons for lock/unlock/panic all work.

I am trying to determine if the dealer it trying to make the problem a nonwarranty a hydrolock problem instead of of a warranty starter/ignition problem. What is the best way to confirm that it is/is not a hydrolock problem? I was told that with the plugs in the engine it would be very hard to turn the engine using a socket wrench.

Answer
that is true with the plugs   if u have a long breaker bar u can do it  U wont be able to move it with a standard socket wrench.
If u thinks it a starter u can hit the starter with a hammer and it should start up for a few times.  I have replaced 2 starters on hemi engines b4  so I know they have had issues.
it will be hard for u to get to the starter due to where it is at on them. Remove the driver side wheel and fender well then u can ge to it.
