Jeep Repair: 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport electric window regulator, screw plug, flat blade

Question
Both driver and passenger windows will roll up but won't roll down. How do I replace the regulator?

Answer
REMOVAL
Remove the inside handle screw plug and remove the screw. (TRIM PANEL)
Remove the pull handle screw.
Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, disengage the trim panel clips and remove the trim panel.
Disconnect the electrical connectors and the inside handle actuator rod. (TRIM PANEL CONNECTIONS)






REMOVAL
Remove the waterdam. (Refer to 23 - BODY/DOOR - FRONT/WATERDAM - REMOVAL)
Raise the glass to the position shown and using a long flat blade or hook type tool, disengage clips attaching glass retainer to regulator lift plate. (DOOR GLASS/REGULATOR)
Disconnect the glass from the regulator lift plate and re-install the clips.
Secure the glass in the up position using a wood wedge, tape or equivalent.
Loosen the bolts. (WINDOW REGULATOR - ELECTRIC)
Disconnect the runout tube clip.
Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the regulator.
