Jeep Repair: window replacement, jeep cherokee, lbs torque


Question
My 2000 jeep cherokee was broke into. They broke the passanger side window.  How do I replace it?

Answer
vac out all that u can see in there and in the window run  the thing that hold the glass on the side there will more then likely bee some broken in there.


FRONT DOOR GLASS
REMOVAL
Remove the door trim panel.
Remove the waterdam.
Remove inner and outer belt weatherstrip.
Roll glass up to expose the bolts attaching the glass to the regulator.
Remove the bolts attaching the glass to the regulator Front Door Glass
Lift the glass upward and out of the door.
INSTALLATION
Position the glass in the door.
Install the bolts attaching the glass to the regulator Tighten the bolts to 4 N·m (36 in-lbs) torque.
Install inner and outer belt weatherstrip.
Attach the door waterdam to the door inner panel with adhesive/sealant.
Install the waterdam.
Install the door trim panel.
