Jeep Repair: 2001 jeep gr cherokee 4.0 4x4, tick tick tick, jeep grand cherokee laredo

i have a 2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo i have two questions that are killin me.. first i have a exhauster leak very small as the scanner says and was wondering how i could go about finding n repairing that and secondly, i have this problem that when i give it gas and i beleive the car is switching to 2nd gear theres a large thump and a jump... oh and sorry for all the questions but i have a tick tick tick tick sound usually coming from the engine...any help would be appreciated.. or i can just fix the car and roll it off a bridge.. just kidding

the 4.0L have a bad deal with the exhaust manifold braking at the weld point where all the pipes join together.
The tranny bump could be low fluid or a throttle cable needs adjusted. The tick tick would more then likely be the purge sol which is normal.I live in the Atlanta area I would be glad to look at it for u.
