Jeep Repair: starting issue!!!, fuel pressure gauge, fuel injectors

Question
my jeep for the past 2 yrs i've owned it has always cranked several timesbefore it starts, about a week ago it got to where it only cranks and you can hear the fuel pump and it sounds like it is firing right but it will not start any suggestions??? and also how do i cure the cranking issue??

Answer
Definitely sounds like you have a fuel problem.  The fuel pump is common to loose pressure after you shut the engine off, the fuel just bleeds down back into the tank.  Then it has to reprime the system each time before it cranks. You need a fuel pressure gauge to verify the problem.  You will also have to rule out the possibility of the fuel injectors leaking into the intake.  If you can deal with the problem, it wont hurt anything other than wearing you starter out sooner!  Hope I could help you! and God Bless!
