Jeep Repair: Jeep Wrangler bucks or hesitates briefly, jeep wrangler yj, crankshaft position sensor

Question
I've searched the blogs but no problem seems to match, I'm hoping for some direction.

1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ, 4cyl, 2.5litre

Here's what happens, whether idling, 1st, 2nd...5th gears... the engine hesitates and loses power randomly just for a fraction of a second. It can happen several times a minute or once in 5 minutes, but it goes on all the time, cold or hot engine, freeway or streets,  It is never as if the engine might die, never as if there's anything major wrong, no check engine light, no problems starting or turning off the engine.

I've done, in order:
Tune-up, new plugs wires everything (no change)
Fuel Injector cleaning (no change)
Fuel filter replaced (no change)

Any suggestions?

Answer
Did you replace the pick-up plate underneath of the distributor rotor?  This is your cam position sensor.

Also, the crankshaft position sensor is located on the left (driver's side) of the engine, goes in to the bellhousing.

Both have three wires going to them and both can cause driveability concerns similar to this hick-up you're describing.  I would start with these before I did anything else too drastic.
