Jeep Repair: 99 Jeep Laredo cooling module replacement, jeep laredo, jeep service

Question
Is this a common problem? recently my A/C stopped functioning when my coolant boiled over and spilled out. My Jeep service rep advised that a defective coolant module was the problem and needed to be replaced at a total cost of $725. Aditionally, This same dealer-ship's service dept just recently completed a 32 point Inspection..3 weeks ago. Should they have detected the potential problem at that time?

Thanks.

Answer
It's not my practice to second guess Jeep service tech but you might want to get a second opinion.  My concern would be as to why the coolant boiled out in the first place.
Was the part that is now needing replacement one of the 32 inspection points?  If so, talk to them about it.
