Jeep Repair: oil, jeep cheerokee, combustion chambers

Question
i have a 1994 jeep cheerokee. i just bought it used from a dealer, and i did a routine tune up oil change, spark plugs, etc... the problem i am having is i am burning oil and dont know why can you help me  thank you

Answer
All the tuning up in the world will not stop an engine from burning oil, only an engine rebuild will.  Oil is blowing past the rings in to the combustion chambers either from wear or damage or past the valve guides, it is the sign of an engine with lots of miles.
Now you know why the previous owner traded the Jeep for something different.
