my 98 land rover rang rover's alarm wont let me start my car.what are my options?

The problem could be with the BECM, the drivers door lock actuator or the key fob.  The drivers door lock would be the cheapest and easiest remedy. It is probably the most common as well. You could start with that.  The BECM would be the most expensive.
