Land Rover Repair: Low beam light out on 2004 Range Rover, hid lamps, headlamp failure

Question
I just purchased a 2004 range rover and the right low beam light is not working. It says check low beam light, they dealer has changed the bulb, the ignitor, and the switch. The light will work for maybe a day or so and then goes out again with the same message. Please advise

Answer
Most of the time problems like yours are addressed by replacment of the entire light assembly.  Occasionally they come from wiring problems (usually shoddy accident repair) and some times we see failed lamp control units.  The only way to know if the light unit will fix it is to try one, and it's kind of a costly experiment but that's the only way I know.

The bulb and ignitor are common but sometimes you just end up swapping the whole thing.

I have never seen a switch cause that problem

Good luck
