Land Rover Repair: 1998 4.6 RR Heater Core, heater core, parts catalog

Question
How can I identify which line is the "in" and "out" on the heater core?  The one I'm replacing was by-passed so I can't use it as a guide.

The feed hose is part# JHB100920.  The return hose is part# PEH101520.  The return hose has a 90 degree bend in it.  The feed hose has 3 bends in it.  You can look the part number up in a parts catalog with pictures if you need any further help identifying them.
