Land Rover Repair: brake repair on 1996 Discovery, wheel hubs, hub seal

Question
I'm attempting to do a complete brake job (calipers, rotors, pads)on my daughter's 1996 Discovery.  A brake repair shop told me that the rotors on this vehicle had to be pressed off and on the hub and that there would be a set of seals that would have to be replaced on the hub. But the parts stores say their diagrams don't indicate that at all.  Can you tell me which is accurate information?  Are there any other unexpected needed parts I might encounter?

Answer
The rotors are bolted on to the wheel hubs.  Just unbolt them once the hub has been removed. It is not a bad idea to change the hub seal.  This should be every thing that you need to change the rotors.  Care should be taken when adjusting the wheel bearings on reassembly.  You might want to buy repair information on the vehicle from Alldata.

Good luck.
