Land Rover Repair: airbag, suspension repairs, rovers north

Question
i have a 1998 range rover 4.6. the computer(i think thats what it is) on the driver side of the truck under the hood is making a loud noise. it is a black box with look like some big round fuses in it. it is like it is pumping air. i did have one of my bags replaced that was leaking hoping that will stop it but it did not. i have to remove the relay which is in the fuse box on the passage side to make it stop. but when i do that  the bags deflates and the tuck go all the way down when i turn the  truck off. the noise is constant

Answer
The noise is coming from the air suspension compressor, and the fact that the truck goes flat tells me you have a leak.  The best option is probably conversion to coil springs because air suspension repairs are costly and you need special electronic tools to talk to the computers.

You can buy good conversion kits from Atlantic British or Rovers North

Good luck with it
