Land Rover Repair: Keyless Entry, land rover specialist, autologic

Question
I took our land Rover to the shop and they replaced the u-joints and replaced the front bumper which they cracked. Now the keyless entry does not work. Could they have disconnected something.
Also, The M and S lights flash. Would this be due to the XYZ switch if I put it in drive, turn off the car, and then restart in park it goes away. Thanks

Answer
I can't guess what happened to cause the faults you now report, but I will say this is why you should seek a real qualified Land Rover specialist for your work and not some general purpose garage with no dedicated LR tools or training.

Stuff like that even happens at Robison Service - sometimes we disconnect a battery for service, and lights come on when you reconnect.  The difference is, for me it does not matter because I just hook up the Land Rover Autologic system and reset the thing, and that's the end of the matter.

You are probably going to have to find a dealer or specialist to do this for you, and the result will negate whatever savings you might have hoped to derive by using the "cheaper" or "more local" shop.

The symptoms do not mean the shop was incompetent - like I said, a battery disconnect could cause them.  Rather, the fact that they handed the truck back in that state means they don't have the knowledge to make things right, or they don't care, and either reason is a reason for you to find a more qualified service person
