Land Rover Repair: 03 freelander rear window, electrical harnesses, moisture buildup

Hi, ive got an 03 3 door freelander, have recently changed the battery and now the back window does the whole stay down and beep deal, i read ur post on recalibrating it, and to no avail after many an attempt, anything else i might attempt??

Hi Adam,

some owners have reported that the electrical harnesses needed to be cleaned - some use WD40, others use brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner.  One owner sprayed all his connectors and it seemed to work.  

One owner reported that he cleaned his tail glass control relay connector with brake cleaner and it helped.  Seems to be a very common problem - perhaps moisture buildup - but definately electrical.  One fellow did say that the electrical loom from the car body to the door has a problem with 'distortion'. Perhaps the cleaner is helping to eliminate this?  Not sure but worth a try - its not expensive.
