Land Rover Repair: rear suspension, air suspensions, rovers north

Question
Hi i have a 2002 discovery and now and then i go to it and find that the back has sunk down. when i start up it goes back up and is fine for a while then will just do it again without any warning.but only does it when left not when driving, can you help.

Answer
You have an air suspension back there that has a leak.  The thing is, almost any repair will cost more than simply changing to coil springs, which is what 99% of Discoveries use.  My best advice is to buy a coil conversion kit from Atlantic British or Rovers North and get it fitted.  In the long run it will save both money and hassle as the air suspensions get really problematic as they age.
