Land Rover Repair: window not working, discovery 2, facebook

Question
I have a 2001 land rover se discovery 2. the drivers side front side window does not go up and down (currently up). I can hear the motor working. Is there an inexpensive way to repair this problem. Thank you.

I don't know what is inexpensive to you, but it sounds like you need a regulator, which costs about $150 and takes about an hour and a half to install.  The regulator is what couples the window motor to the window glass and actually does the lifting and lowering
