Land Rover Repair: transmission fluid, land rover discovery, discovery series ii

How do i check and refill the transmission fluid in a 2000 Land Rover Discovery Series II?  I think I may have a leak but not sure, it is a yellow oily fluid dripping from about the middle of the vehicle.

Answer
The fluid is checked via the fill plug on the left front side of the transmission.  You run the car on a lift and set the fluid till it just starts to run out.  It's all done from beneath the vehicle.  And BTW, the trans fluid is red, not yellow.  Yellow fluid might be coolant.
