Land Rover Repair: 96 RR stalls, fuel pressure regulator, vacuum leaks

Question
QUESTION: well i have a 96 RR 4.0 se gems motor  some times it turns off after i make a stop or slow down to make a turn and  get going  and some times it seems to cut off but it does not turn off
i scanned it and i got 2 codes     (PO727)    (P1775)
my friend told me it had to do with
  (TORQUE REDUCTION/ENGINE TORQUE/ENGINE SPEED SIGNAL)
i replaced the (CKP) with a used one, but it keeps turning off some times
tested the fuel pressure it has 38psi ignition on engine off and 30psi engine on is this normal fuel pressure
i was reading your past answers but i have not been able to solve the problem

ANSWER: The first thing I would check is the vacuum line from the inlet manifold to the fuel pressure regulator.  Check the security of the vacuum line and renew if necessary.  Next, I would check for further vacuum leaks in the induction side.  Once you are satisfied that there are no unmetered air leaks, I would reset the base idle.  I would also run up a cylinder lubricant to free of any sticky inlet or exhaust valves as these are problematic at low engine speeds and can also cause stalling problems.

The fuel pressure you mentioned is good.

QUESTION: hello nigel:
thank you for taking the time to help me. well didn't have any vacuum leaks so i connected the fuel pressure tester and i put it under the hood  by the wind shield under the wiper  so i could see if the pressure drop when the truck stalls after 5 mnts on the road the engine stumble but it didn't turn off the fuel pressure drop to 0psi then it went back to 32psi 3 mnts by the time i got home it drop below 20psi I'm replacing the fuel pump with airtex E3270
after removing the rear wheel arch liner and try to clean the quick release connectors from the fuel tank and the charcoal canister by hand they crumble up (connectors to dry)but the hoses are very flexible
is there a special way to separate this hoses i try it by hand but is to hard and i don't want to brake nothing  . are this connectors sold by them selves and are this dealer items only
the land rover dealer was closed so i was not able to get info from them (it's Friday) thanks again

Answer
These connectors are not sold separately and the pipe assembly is a dealer item only.  These pipes can be a struggle for anybody when they get stuck.  Pull the outer cap off and then you can access the release ring inside.

Good luck and don't forget to reset the base idle.  I would actually do this first, before replacing the fuel pump.
