Land Rover Repair: Lotsa Issues 1997 Disco, obd ii scan tool, tie rod ends

Question
First thank you for any assistance you can give me:
1.  Right rear passenger window will not respond to switch and tends to drop 2 inches on own if i don't wedge it?
2.  Clunking when going in tight circle left or right doesn't matter?
3.  Gear shift light doesn't light up so can't see gears at night?
4.  Cruise control doesn't work?
5.  Service light on?

Answer
1) The window lifter unit has probably broken.

2) Check for broken front end components, including CV joints and all bushings and tie rod ends

3) Take the console top apart and change the bulb. Buy a workshop manual from Rovers North or Atlantic British

4) Check the vacuum lines under the hood and at the dump switch above the brake pedal

5) Connect an OBD II scan tool and read the codes.  The codes will point you toward subsequent tests and repairs
