Land Rover Repair: flat battery, amp meter, flat battery

i had a flat battery after car was idle for 7 days replaced battery if i use the car on a daily basis no problems but if its not used for 3 days baterry is flat i had a new alternator last year what could be drawing off the baterry whist immobile could it be the alarm system?

Rovers have several computers in them, they tend to kill batteries in about 3 years, if your battery is fresh, hook up an amp-meter between the battery and cable and watch the current draw (don't start the engine, it'll blow up your meter).  If it's high (2-3 amps), remove fuses until the current drops to below 1/2 amp, that circuit will have your short on it.
