Land Rover Repair: 01 Disco HT leads, rocker cover gasket, land rover discovery 2, land rover discovery

Hello John I have a 2001 land rover discovery 2 with 80,000 miles. The #2 spark plug wire is bad and ive tried everything to change it even paid my 8 year old daughter 20 dollars no luck no room and both valve cover gaskets are leaking too. so i ordered new plugs wires gaskets and a intake plenum gasket im going to try to do it all myself the landrover mechanic in Maui wanted $1800 i dont have that kind of $$$ i would be greatly appreciated if you have any literature of how to do it Thanks Kyle

Hi Kyle,

working with your daughter on your vehicle - that's priceless!  Forking over $1800 to a dealer, that's a shame.

For $1800 you could fly someone from the mainland and have them teach you how to do the repair...in your own yard...in Maui.  Hey, I even know a guy willing to go... nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

All kidding aside, I have the techsheets on this and even a trick or two that may help.  I'll include the rocker cover gasket (aka valve cover) sheets as well.  That job is more difficult and time consuming.
