Land Rover Repair: Radio code input, radio code, radio unit

I had asked about the correct procedure for entering the code to operate my navigation system/radio and forgot to give you the model landrover - it's a 2002 freelander HSE.

Turn the ignition on, turn the radio on, enter the numeric code provided by the dealer by pressing the preset radio buttons with the numbers that correspond to each of the number in the code.  If the radio code does not take, leave the ignition on with the radio on for one hour, during which time you should not touch any buttons.  Then, re-enter the code.  If, after three attempts it will not accept the code, the radio unit will need to be removed to get the serial number from the unit.  The dealer will have to provide you with an alternate radio code based on this serial number.
