Land Rover Repair: freelander 2002 cruise control, cruise control module, sensor faults

2002 freelander v6 petrol
cruise control works for about 5-10km then stops
main on off swith still sending power to ecu control boxes under drivers seat,these have also been replaced
the rotory coupler and the vaccum control unit also replaced and no faults on rovercom

Answer
One of the more common problems with these were the steering wheel switches.  It could also be a dry joint on the connectors, try cleaning all electrical connectors and applying di-electric grease.  It also sounds like a cruise control module failure, but it sounds like you changed it.  Finally, check with rovercom for any speed sensor faults.
