Land Rover Repair: 96 RR 4.0 se engine disable, latch, test system

hello JOHN:
I lock my RR and when i was ready to go again my remote did not work i open it manually and the alarm when off I relock and open manually again it chirp two times and try to start it but it would not start  and i noticed  ENGINE DISABLE WAS blinking and the lock will not work at all if i try to lock it from the inside i had the remotes fix it needed new battery they work but the engine disable will not go away  
any help you can give will be great thanks for all the time you take to help us in need

It sounds like the latch in the driver door has failed, and it's not sending the disarm signal to the alarm controller.  You can try swapping the latch, then unlocking the door.  The alarm should clear.  If not, you will need access to a t4 or autologic test system to see what the alarm is thinking.
