Land Rover Repair: 98 Rover Door sensors?, range rover hse, eas system

Question
98 Range Rover HSE, (NAS)

Can you tell me where the "RF Door" sensor is located? My EAS will not adjust as the message center reads "Door open RH Front". Occasionally a well placed nudge or bump (which seems good enough to arm security system) will do it but rarely. I have examined the door and don't see any obvious device. I put a new pin in the hinge/door travel "governor?" recently, could that be related? Also, is there a way to override the related inhibit switch/function of the height adjustment on the EAS system?

Answer
the sensor is part of the door latch/lock mechanism, I don't know what part is related to the door open message.

The switch may just need a cleaning or adjustment, it can be accessed by removing the door pannel.  The limiting strap shouldn't affect this at all unless the door isn't closing correctly.

You can jumper the switch out but I do not know how this will affect the alarm or locking systems so I can't recommend it.
