Land Rover Repair: air suspension on disco 2, conversion cost, system conversion

the near side loses air, it can be alright for days or weeks. could it be a faulty valve or air spring. is the air spring easy to change, or is it a garage job... any idea how much it will cost in a garage...regards .dennis

The air spring is about $350 and 1-2 hours work to change.  Before you go down this road you should be aware that both springs and the height sensors and other parts will continue to wear our, and all will have several-hundred-dollar repair costs.

For that reason, many owners buy the coil spring conversion kit (available from Atlantic British and others) and get rid of the system.  Conversion cost is similar to the cost of air bag replacement
