Land Rover Repair: coolent leak from ? 2003 LR DISCO II, land rover discovery, land rover discovery ii

Question
I own a 2002 Land Rover Discovery II a sensor came on and it kind of staled a little bit for a few seconds then it went away soon after coolant started to leak from who knows where it appears to be coming from behind the AC aluminum bracket I could see it squirt once in a while it seems hot but the heat gage doesn't sense it also the sensor turned off on its own ????? the truck shakes once it heats like if it was misfiring ... ANY ADVISE

Answer
Hi Sal,

advice?  Yes, get it fixed right away.

Sounds like a hose rupture or perhaps a seal.  Get it fixed now while the costs are small.   IF you allow the vehicle to overheat, you can run into large expenses and even the loss of the engine.  LR engines have been known to drop a cylinder sleeve if allowed to overheat for too long.  Once this happens, the engine is kaput!

Get the Disco into a rad shop or LR dealer (your choice) to have it repaired, but do it quickly.
