Land Rover Repair: 2000 Range Rover suspensioin, shocks and struts, suspension bushings

Question
QUESTION: Sometimes, when driving down the highway, I almost lose control of the vehicle and have to pull over to get the vehicle under control. This is not an everyday occurrence but has happened several times in last two months. I just replaced all four springs but the vehicle started doing it again. I read all the other suspension problems that you have responded to but did not see this particular problem mentioned.

ANSWER: Is the steering wheel shaking violently?

this can be because of several things, or a combination.  start with new shock-absorbers and suspension bushings, particularly in the front.  Also inspect/replace the ball-joints as needed, and potentially the steering stabilizer.

QUESTION: I made an error in my original question. the Range Rover just had new shocks and struts put in last month. By saying springs I gave the impression that it no longer has air suspension but it does. My mechanic did find that the right front air suspension bag is lower than the others in the morning but not significantly enough to create an out of balance situation. Additionally he indicated the light on the dash for the air suspension is staying on a long time after start up which he does not think is correct. I appreciate your thoughts and help. Regards, Matt

Answer
The two aren't directly related.  you have a small leak, or several, that cause the low height in the morning and the slow rising.  the shaking is not caused by an improper height, it's caused by loose fittings and joints in the steering and front suspension
