Land Rover Repair: 01 RR EAS stuck in down position, minute job, independent shops

Question
Hello Dennis,
My son has an 01 RR that has a EAS hose pop off on what appears to be a regulator or compressor. Error codes varied from EAS failure 35 MPH and windows, sunroof open. We fitted the hose back in place and the codes continue and the car will not raise up. Any suggestions before going to the dealer? Any idea what it should cost from US dealer to reset the ECU?

Thanks
Rob

Answer
The dealer typically charges between $90 and $120/hour for labour. even though it's a 5 minute job, they will charge you for a full hour.  many Independent shops will charge 1/2 of that per hour, and only charge the 5-10 minutes needed.

You can also mail your ECU to us for a read/reset.

The EAS fault should not affect the windows and sunroof, there may be another problem that may or may not be connected.  It could also be just random.
