Land Rover Repair: EAS FAULT, jumper wires, max light

Question
Hi Dennis,
I have a 2000 RR DHSE 95,000miles. Just yesterday the EAS Fault 35mph Max light came on. The jeep will not elevate at all and is sitting on the tyres more or less.
I have had no problems with the air suspension before, it has been going up & down as requested without any problem.
I checked fuses & relays just in case that was the problem, also this is about the extent of my technical knowledge in cars/jeeps!
Can you advise me if there is something I can do myself or should I bring it to a RR garage. Thank you, Shane from Dublin.

Answer
Unfortunately the EAS fault cannot be reset witout proper LR specific diagnostic equipment.  You can troubleshoot it yourself before going using jumper wires outlined here

Doing that will give you an idea of wether your compressor is worn, your springs are leaking, or both.

It doesn't have to be the LR dealer to reset it, a good independent LR shop can do it, and will probably charge you less.
