Land Rover Repair: RR Air Suspension problems, fault message, suspension problems

Question
Dennis,

I had a suspension problem about 6 weeks ago on a 2000 RR. I asked you about it and you recommended changing the air springs and rebuilding the compressor and the valve block. Well, I replaced the air springs only and everything worked fine for 3 weeks, then for a week, the suspension started lowering to the bump stop after the car has been parked for few hours, but it would rise after driving for about 15 minutes. The problem kept getting worse until now the car does not rise anymore. I had to drive it the last couple days to get to and from work, but I won't be able to drive it for much longer. I don't hear any hissing noise as I did before I replaced the air springs. I can hear the compressor running, but I don't know if it’s pumping any air. Is my next step to rebuild the compressor and the valve block?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer
Lowering to the bump stops means you still have leaks, with new springs it's likely in the valve block.

Taking 15 minutes to rise is way too long, you have leaks and a worn out compressor causing that, so yes, rebuild the compressor and valve block.  If you have a fault message on the dash now you also need to get the codes reset, they will not clear on their own.
