Land Rover Repair: break fluid replacement Land Rover Discovery 2 2001, land rover discovery 2, land rover discovery

Question
I have a 2001 Discovery 2 and want to replace the brake fluid completely. What is the correct procedure to follow? Also would like to replace anti-freeze fluid, how do I properly drain the system?

Many thanks

Answer
On the Discovery II models you need the factory test system to activate the ABS pump if you want to change all the fluid and do a proper job.

In our shop, it takes two men and the tester about 45 minutes to do the job.

And you don't drain it.  You pump fluid through it but never let it go empty.  You'll use as much as a quart to half a gallon of fluid for a thourough job.
