Land Rover Repair: Range Rover P38 Air suspension, range rover p38, rubber boots

Question
I have a 2001 Range Rover 4.6 Vogue with 50.000 miles.  It has recently started to sink to bump stops after about 3 days parked.  What is the normal time over which it should sink to bump stops when left parked with the air suspension OK?

Answer
Alex, The suspension is designed to hold pressure at all times since it's a closed system. Under normal circumstances the susp. should not sink at all unless you lower it. Sinking indicates a leak in the system ,most common problem is the detoriation of rubber boots of air springs. There is a special spray that can be spayed over the surface of the springs to see if they leak. You can only use soapy water if you do not have access for the spray.
