Land Rover Repair: Changing the Thermostat 99 Disco II, rovers north, thermostat

I purchased a new Thermostat for my 99 Disco II because the temperature began to rise while my car was idle. I recently replaced the water pump. Is it true that the thermostat should be changed along with the new water pump? I want to install it but I have no experience. Can you help me locate it and give specific instructions for replacing the thermostat?

The thermostat is located in the hose to the lower radiator.  If you need step by step instrustions I have two suggestions:
