Land Rover Repair: Diagnostic Code, service engine soon light, diagnostic code

My 2000 RR 4.6 HSE failed inspection due to 2 fault codes p0133 and p0134 however my service engine soon light is not on. Is this possible?

If the faults occurred some time ago but are no longer active the light could be off and the codes stored.  Some state inspection machines would fail you for that.

In that case, you might be able to simply clear the codes, drive 100 miles, and re-test.

It is also possible the service engine light is not functional and the codes are for active problems.  Does the light come on when starting?  If not, that could be your problem.
