Land Rover Repair: 97 RR Engine start, damp weather, range rover

During cold and damp weather my 97 Range Rover is hard to start and will only travel about 30 MPH for the first 1.5-2.0 miles. Once she starts to warm up the problem goes away.

Reading your story, it sounds like the check engine light must be on.  If so, I suggest you find a shop that can connect to your Rover's computer and look at the live data from the engine while warming up and see what's wrong.

It's possible you have a basic tune up problem, such as rotten ignition wires; alternately you may have some kind of sensor issue going on
