discovery 1 1998 4litre gas  lights out around all heater  controls and fan switch . best way to replace the bulbs in this area

Hello kj,

may not be burnt out console lights.  Could be a burnt out rear brake light, shorted out bulbholder on your sidemarker (front side turn signal) or something like that.  Examine all outside lights to make sure they are ALL working properly.  If one blows, it's possible to see dashboard or console lights not working.

IF it's not an outside light, you'll have to open up the console and determine which bulb it is that needs replacing.
