Land Rover Repair: 2000 Range Rover HSE, frigid weather, airsprings

Question
I've noticed that since the cold weather has arrived in Oklahoma, my truck automatically lowers on the drive when I go a few days without driving it. I never noticed it lowering like that when the weather was warmer and it wasn't in use. Is this normal or do I have a hole in my bags? When I start it, it does rise after it warms up. Is the frigid weather hard on the air system? Please advise.

Answer
Cold weather is not hard on the system, but it does magnify existing problems.  You most likely have several small leaks in your airsprings, and possibly in the valve block.  The cold weather will cause the rubber to contract, making the leaks worse.  With the RR at normal ride height look at the bottom of the springs where they fold under themselves, if you see cracks it's time for new springs.
