Land Rover Repair: Transmission or sensor, mass air meter, obd ii scanner

Question
This evening, the first time the temp dropped below freezing, my 2000 disco II would not get out of first gear while the vehicle was in "D".  If I shifted down to "3", she would, but then i shifted back up to "D" I got blinking D, S and M lights.  She has 90K and just replaced the Mass air flow sensor?  any ideas?  thanks in advanced....you helped imensely with the o2 codes that I was having before.

Answer
I doubt if the mass air meter has anything to do with this.  You should find a dealer or shop with the Land Rover test system and have them see what faults are stored in the transmission controller.  If the lights blinked fault codes have been stored.

Note that a generic OBD II scanner will not connect to the gearbox to read the faults - you need the LR tool.
