Land Rover Repair: dash panel lights, interstate batteries, size battery

Question
last year after jumping a car, three lights on the dash remained on. Those are the ABS, TC and down hill car light, all these lights are orange.  Recently, after having the car at the dealer, a red light in the upper right corner if the dash with an ! in it came on. I just jumped the Discover after the battery went down and two green lights, the "M" ans "S" buttons are now on and flashing. This is all very pretty at Christmas but is driving me nuts. The dealer thinks it is something with the brakes but I am not so sure as it all seems electrical to me. Do you have any ideas on this?  I am getting ready to sell this car and don't want to spend to much on repairs.  Any thought would be appreciated.

Answer
It sounds like a battery/alternator issue to me.  Have them both tested, and just replace the battery-it is a good selling point.  You probably won't get more for it but it will sell a little faster.  Make sure you get the proper size battery, and undersized one will cause all sorts of headaches.  Interstate Batteries supply the correct OEM spec'd batteries.
