Land Rover Repair: 98 Disco Electrical Problems due to rain, electrical shorts, hair blow

Hell,
I have a 98 Disco/LE. Well last 3 weeks it rained and for 2 weeks i had my sun roog open, not all the way but little bit, but it did manage to mess the interior and make it wet. Most of the stiuff works in the truck but the Cigrette Lighter and the power seat controls dont work anymore.
There might be other stuff but i havent come across it yet. Also i think when i open the car using the remote, i rememeber the signal lights used to flash, now it doesnt but it does happen when i lock the truck using the remote. So kinda confused and not sure.

Hi Rubeel,

obviously the electronics, wires, harness etc. are wet and will have to be dried.  Unfortunately, the window controls are very sensitive and LR electrics are known to corrode over time.  Adding rainwater to this problem increases the likelihood of electrical shorts.

You can start by using a hair blow dryer to dry out as many electrics as possible.  

I believe there is a security ecu just behind the console...water may have damaged this.  This may be why your security system is not functioning correctly.  Eventually, all this will dry out.
