Land Rover Repair: 2002 discovery 2 coolant loss, obd ii scan tool, coolant loss

My d2 has a slow coolant leak(refill resevoir once a week) coming from what looks like the front top of the motor on the driver's side.  what are the possible causes?  also how do find the codes for the check engine light as mine is now on.  we took the car for a drive last night and all of the sudden the temp. jumped to hot.  the car cooled down and then a couple of miles down the road the engine light came on.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look on our web site www.robisonservice.com > service > land rover for two articles on overheating an ddiagnosis.  It is very, very important to fix this.  Your engine will be destroyed in very short order if you drive in an overheated state.

You'll need a shop with an OBD II scan tool to check the engine fault codes.
