Land Rover Repair: Freelander rear door window problem, best of luck, bulletin board

i have a 1998 5 door 1.8 xei
when i open the rear door the window will not drop down to let the door open it just stays in place so i have to pull the window down by hand so i can open the door it works fine with the switch inside the car and with remote but not with the door handle please help thanks john

Hi John,

has to be the door handle switching.  Could be corroded wires or an electrical short.

Go to www.discoweb.org and check out the bulletin board for any notices from other Freelander owners.  If not, post a question there.  I'm sure someone has had this problem.
