Land Rover Repair: traction control light, shock absorbers, occations

Question
I have a51 plate TD5 and when driving  on occations when i go over bumps the traction control light comes on for a few seconds and there is a noise under the bonnett  which also comes on for a few seconds, do i have a problem with the traction control or the suspension .

Answer
If the noise is a "chatter"  that is normal actuation of the traction control.  If a wheel hops over a bump it can trigger the ATC, if it is happening too frequently you might have a bad wheel sensor.  Also if your shock-absorbers (dampers) are bad this could cause the wheels to bounce and kick in the ETC as well.
