Land Rover Repair: rover wont go umtil warmed up for 30 min, temperature sensors, fuel temperature

Question
we have a 95 land rover and it will not stay running until after it has been warmed up for  about 30 min. after that it runs great. any suggestions please. thanks peter

Answer
Check the coolant and fuel temperature sensors at the front top of the engine.  When cold they should have high resistance, 100-2000 ohms.  Their resistance should drop to 200 or so when warm.

If you are not sure how to check them I'd suggest swapping them; they are not expensive.

Good luck!
