Land Rover Repair: proportioning valve, john robinson, safety system

There is a proportioning valve on the brake system of my Disco I. 300TDi, year 1999 that is fault. Instead of replace for a new one can I supress this valve? What will be the trouble if I do it. Thanks in advance. Luis

This is not my area of expertise, I recommend asking John Robinson for a more detailed answer.  

The brakes are a safety system in your vehicle, if you do not have a full understanding of how they work, I would advise you NOT to modify the system in any way.  I do not know what would happen if you took that valve out, but it is there for a reason.
