Land Rover Repair: ABS Motor 91 RR, abs pump, abs system

Question
Hello
The Other day I shut my 1991 Range Rover off and I noticed the Pump\Motor for the ABS System was still running. I opened the hood and the motor was really Hot. It finally stopped. When I started driving it before the problem was noticed, I had a very slight blink of the Service Engine Light. My Rover has a 110k on it and is not driven that often. It is also subject to dust where it is stored.
Thank You
Linden

Answer
There have been problems with the relays for the ABS pump sticking.  When that happens they get the pumps hot and burn them up.  I'd urge you to get two new relays right away.  Depending upon year your relays may be under the driver seat or under the hood.

The service engine light is on a timed reminder, and has nothing to do with your abs issue.
