Land Rover Repair: low idle on 1995 4.2, luck john, wating

greetings john.

i have a 1995 county lwb with 4.2. the truck runs great, except that the idle is a little low (600 rpm give or take) while in gear and stopped, while wating for a light ect. when the truck is in park, the idle is about 800 rpm give or take.

what would be the most likely cause?

That's the speed your truck is supposed to idle at.  Exactly why do you think there's a problem?  Does it shake or stall?

You may benefit from cleaning the throttle body with choke cleaner.
