Land Rover Repair: water ingress int cab, heavy downpour, water leaks

the used car dealer repkaced the front sunroof after 4 attempts to cure leak it worked for five months but now when it rains heavy water leaks into the car via the seat belt post on drivers side or front courtesy light onto gearlever

Hi Terry,

go back and have the sunroof resealed. Also check the runner edge along the roof.  If you see that it's cracked, use some clear silicone to fill it.  I suppose you could remove the exterior molding to see if the water is entering there...again, use clear silicone caulking to fill any cracks.

Water dripping from the courtesy light is a news to me but I am not totally surprised.  Last year, I had a windshield replaced after a dump truck tossed off a huge rock onto my Disco (at 100/kph).  This year, I have traces of water after a heavy downpour.  I'll be taking my Disco back to have the windshield seal redone.
